Fidelity International hat uns im Namen von FIL Investments International,
Oakhill House, 130 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, Kent, England, mit
Schreiben vom 25. Juli 2008 gemäß § 21 (1) WpHG wie folgt mitgeteilt:

'In the name of and behalf of FIL Investments International, Oakhill House,
130 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, Kent, England we hereby notify you
pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG of the following:

On 24 July 2008 FIL Investments International crossed above the threshold
of 3% of the voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG, Sonnenallee 1, 34266
Niestetal, Germany. On that date, FIL Investments International, held 3.01%
of the voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG arising from 1,044,448
voting rights.

All voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG were attributed to FIL
Investments International pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.'
