Fidelity International hat uns im Namen von FIL Limited mit Schreiben vom
25. August 2008 gemäß § 21 (1) WpHG wie folgt mitgeteilt:

'In the name of and on behalf of FIL Limited, we hereby notify you pursuant
to section 21 (1) WpHG of the following:

On 22 August 2008 FIL Limited fell below the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights in SMA Solar Technology AG, Sonnenallee 1, 34266 Niestetal, Germany.
On that date, FIL Limited held 2.93% of the voting rights in SMA Solar
Technology AG arising from 1,015,148 voting rights.

All voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG were attributed to FIL Limited
pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no.6 WpHG.'
