Correction of the Announcement dated April 08, 2008 according to Article
26, Section 1 of the WpHG [the German Securities Trading Act] with the
objective of Europe-wide distribution (Revocation)

On September 02, 2008 Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Ltd., London,
England, has revoked its notification of voting rights dated April 08,
2008, regarding E.ON AG, Düsseldorf, Germany, made public on April 08,
2008, as at the time stated in the notification, no thresholds had been
reached and thus no obligation of notification existed. The revocation is
based on the fact that Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Ltd. fulfils
the requirements of § 32 para. 2 through 4 InvG, § 22 para. 3a WpHG, § 29a
para. 3 WpHG.
