676650), had exceeded the 20 % thresholds on 9 October 2008 and now amount
to 20.001 % (representing 8,173,987 voting rights).

Salzgitter Aktiengesellschaft, Salzgitter, Germany, informed us in its
notification dated 10 October 2008 pursuant to Section § 21 paragraph 1,
German Securities Trading Act that its voting interest in Norddeutsche
Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany (ISIN: DE0006766504, WKN: 676650), had
exceed the 20 % thresholds on 9 October 2008 and now amount to 20.001 %
(representing 8,173,987 voting rights). 20.001 % of the voting rights
(representing 8,173,987 voting rights) are allocated to Salzgitter
Aktiengesellschaft by Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH, in accordance with
