Announcement Pursuant to Art. 4 para. 2 of Commission Regulation (EC) No.
2273/2003

Within the scope of the share repurchase program, started on October 6,
2008, a total of 175,000 shares have been bought back to date,
corresponding to a total amount of EUR 2,123,914.50. Due to the current
uncertainties in financial markets, GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft suspends
the share repurchase program for the time being.
