The Supervisory Board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) has
appointed Heinz Brandt as a new member of the HHLA Executive Board
effective 1 January 2009. Until now Works Director of Eurogate Group,
Brandt will take over from Rolf Fritsch as Executive Board member
responsible for Human Resources on 01.04.2009.

Heinz Brandt will be a new member of HHLA’s Executive Board from
01.01.2009. The lawyer, now 54, will assume responsibility for Human
Resources, Welfare and Buying from 01.04.2009. His predecessor Rolf Frisch
will leave the post on 31.03.2009.

proven expert for HHLA,' says Klaus-Dieter Peters, HHLA’s Executive Board
Chairman. 'Also including Dr. Sebastian Jürgens, who will be taking over
responsibility on the HHLA Executive Board for the Intermodal und Logistics
segments from 01.01.2009, our team will be in splendid shape for future
tasks.'

As Works Director of Eurogate Group and Chairman of the Social-Political
Committee of the Zentralverband der Deutschen Seehafenbetriebe e.V. (ZDS)
(Federation of German Seaport Operators), Heinz Brandt has gathered
extensive experience of framing tariffs and working conditions in port and
logistics companies.

Heinz Brandt (54) studied law, after his finals teaching employment law at
Bremen University. In 1994 he joined Bremer Lagerhaus Gesellschaft (BLG),
where he initially worked as a corporate lawyer, later as Personnel
Manager. He was a member of the Group Management Board from the time that
Eurogate was set up in 1999.
