MeVis Medical Solutions AG [ISIN: DE000A0LBFE4], a specialist in
disease-oriented software solutions for image-based medicine, announces the
appointment of a new chief financial officer.

Effective January 1, 2009, the Supervisory Board has appointed Christian H.
Seefeldt (52) as a new member of the Company’s Executive Board for a period
of two years. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering and
business administration from the Technical University of Berlin, Mr.
Seefeldt spent twelve years in management and controlling positions at two
global high-tech companies, followed by a further ten years as chief
financial officer primarily for fast-growing software companies.

As originally planned, Dr. Olaf Sieker (40) is leaving MeVis Medical
Solutions AG at the end of the year following the expiration of his
contract.
As chief financial officer he played a key role in the Company’s stock
market flotation at the end of 2007 and the ensuing extensions to the
MeVis Group. Prior to this, he had supported the Company for many years in
his capacity as an external advisor. The members of the Supervisory Board
and the Executive Board would like to take this opportunity to thank him
for his contribution. Dr. Sieker will continue to advise the MeVis Group as
an external consultant, thus ensuring a smooth transition to the new chief
financial officer.
