Birkenfeld, March 6, 2009

In view of the future business performance expected at the STRATEC Group,
its high volume of liquidity and high equity ratio, the Board of Management
of STRATEC Biomedical Systems AG (FSE: SBS, Prime Standard Segment) today
resolved to present to the Supervisory Board a proposal for the
appropriation of profits for the Annual General Meeting which foresees
raising the dividend for the 2008 financial year by 59% to Euro 0.35 per
share (previous year: Euro 0.22).
