Bonn, March 10, 2009: Deutsche Post World Net's Supervisory Board today
appointed Lawrence A. Rosen (51) to the Management Board as Chief Financial
Officer. Lawrence Rosen, who currently holds the CFO position at Fresenius
Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA, will be in charge of Controlling, Corporate
Accounting and Reporting, Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Corporate
Internal Audit / Security, Taxes as well as Global Business Services. Rosen
succeeds John Allan (60), who will retire from full-time work at the end of
June.

Rosen, a U.S. native, joined Fresenius Medical Care, the world's largest
provider of dialysis products and devices, as Chief Financial Officer in
2003. Before joining Fresenius Medical, Rosen worked for Aventis S.A. in
Strasbourg, France, as Group Senior Vice President and Treasurer for three
years. Between 1984 and 2000, Rosen held different positions at Aventis'
predecessor companies Hoechst AG and American Hoechst / Hoechst Celanese
Inc.
