On 11 May 2009, Norges Bank informed us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG as
follows:

On 07 May 2009, the voting rights of Norges Bank, Oslo, Norway, in GEA
Group Aktien-gesellschaft, Bochum, Germany, fell under the threshold of 3 %
and amounts to 2.86 % (5,253,744 voting rights) on this day.

The voting rights are held by Norges Bank (Central Bank of Norway),
organization number: 937 884 117.

On 13 May 2009 the Royal Ministry of Finance, Oslo, Norway, in the name and
on behalf of the state of Norway, informed us pursuant sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG
that on 07 May 2009 the voting rights of the state of Norway in GEA Group
Aktiengesellschaft, Bochum, Germany, fell below the threshold of 3% and
amounted to 2.86 % (5,253,744 voting rights) on that day.

2.86 % (5,253,744 voting rights) of the voting rights are to be attributed
to the state of Norway pursuant sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG. Voting
rights that are to be attri-buted to the state of Norway are held via
Norges Bank (organization number 937 884 117). Norges Bank (Central Bank of
Norway) is controlled by the state of Norway.
