Platinum Investment Management Limited mit Sitz in Sydney, Australien, hat
uns mit Schreiben vom 13. Mai 2009 folgendes mitgeteilt:

Pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG we hereby notify that Platinum
Investment Management Limited's percentage of voting rights in MTU Aero
Engines Holding AG fell below the threshold of 3% on 7 May 2009 and amounts
to 2.92% (1,519,625 voting rights) as per this date.

These voting rights are in their entirety attributable to Platinum
Investment Management Limited pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6
WpHG.
