Munich, May 27, 2009: COLEXON Energy AG, one of the leading
manufacturer-independent system integrators of high-performance thin-film
solar power plants, and Solartraeger GmbH & Co. KG, one of the leading
manufacturers of solar mounting systems, have concluded an exclusive
framework contract for the delivery of mounting systems at the Intersolar
in Munich. The contract contains the delivery of COLEXON Light-Air modules
support systems for the installation of at least 15 MWp First Solar modules
within the next 24 months.
Due to its low net weight, COLEXON Light-Air - developed by Solartraeger
with support of COLEXON - enables the use roof areas that have not been
usable so far. The mounting system allows an installation of a First Solar
power plant on a rooftop with less than 11 kg/sqm.
Installed horizontally, the solar modules are lined up to the sun at a
fixed angle. The elevation angle is adjusted to the respective conditions
to guarantee maximum yield. Using this type of support framework, wind
flows causing a so-called spoiler effect, by which the module rows are
fixed to the roof. Due to this spoiler effect, the module support system
framework can be installed without roof penetration and additional weight.
COLEXON Light-Air allows quick and easy mounting and dismantling of solar
modules as well as easy maintenance of the plant and consequently offers
maximum installation flexibility for solar projects on flat roofs.
Distances between the module rows are optimally dimensioned to ensure that
the following row is not affected by shading of the precedent. COLEXON
Light-Air is exclusively made of high-end materials so that the system is
weatherproof and almost free of maintenance.
