Ratingen (Germany), May 29th, 2009 - InVision Software AG (ISIN:
DE0005859698), one of the leading international provider of solutions for
enterprise-wide workforce management, confirms the preliminary results for
the first quarter 2009 which were published on May 18th, 2009. According to
the final figures for the first three months 2009, revenues increased by 27
percent up to EUR 2.94 million from EUR 2.32 million reported in the same
quarter in the previous year. The EBIT equalled EUR -1.66 million, compared
to EUR -1.74 million in the first quarter 2008. In the first quarter of
2009, net Group results totalled EUR -940,000 compared to EUR -992,000 in
the same period last year. Earnings per share went slightly up from EUR
-0.42 in the first quarter of 2008 to EUR -0.44.
In particular, licence revenues increased by 209 percent up to EUR 1.04
million in the first quarter 2009. In the same period last year, the
Company generated EUR 337,000 with licence sales. This increase is
attributable to the positive effects of the intensification of sales
efforts during the fiscal year 2008 as well as to the postponement of
several contract completions from the fourth quarter 2008. As a consequence
of lower licence revenues during the fourth quarter 2008, services revenues
declined by 18 percent down to EUR 889,000 (first quarter 2008: EUR 1.08
million). Maintenance revenues climbed up to EUR 1 million from EUR 899,000
earned during the same period of the previous year. This represents an
increase of 12 percent.
Revenues in the 'Germany, Austria and Switzerland' region increased by 9
percent from EUR 1.09 million in the first three months 2008 to EUR 1.19
million. Revenues generated in other foreign countries totalled EUR 1.76
million (previous year: EUR 1.23 million), thereby representing an increase
of 43 percent.
InVision Software AG again confirmed its outlook for the current fiscal
year, ending December 31st, 2009. Even though the overall economic
development is still very difficult to predict, the Company's plans remain
unchanged and InVision expects a significant increase in revenues as well
as an EBIT of app. EUR -2.2 million for the fiscal year 2009.
