Uns wurde mit Schreiben vom 28. Juli 2009 folgendes mitgeteilt:

On 23 July 2009, the stake of Capital Research and Management Company, Los
Angeles, USA, in the voting rights in MTU Aero Engines Holding AG, Dachauer
Str. 665, 80995 München, exceeded the threshold of 3 %. On that date,
Capital Research and Management Company held 3.02 % (1,571,584 ordinary
shares) in relation to all voting rights in MTU Aero Engines Holding AG
(voting rights arising from 52,000,000 ordinary shares (Stammaktien).

3.02 % (1,571,584 ordinary shares) of all voting rights in MTU Aero Engines
Holding AG (voting rights arising from 52,000,000 ordinary shares) were
attributed to Capital Research and Management Company pursuant to section
22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.
