ARQUES Industries AG: New Supervisory Board appointed

Starnberg, August 25, 2009. The Local Court in Munich (Germany) has
appointed Bernhard Riedel, Dr. Georg Obermeier, David Hersh, Antoine Dréan
und Jean-Francoise Borde as new members of the Supervisory Board of ARQUES
Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004). This means that the non-co-determined
Supervisory Board of the company has again its full number of members
after. Only Dr. Rudolf Falter had achieved the two-thirds majority
stipulated in the Articles of Incorporation at ARQUES Industries' Annual
General Meeting on August 5, 2009.

The new Supervisory Board consists of three members of the former
Supervisory Board as well as three members of the second largest
shareholder of ARQUES, Mantra Investissement SCA, Paris. Thereby the
continuity of the Supervisory Board is maintained, the interests of the
shareholders are represented.
