Erweiterung der Führungsebene - Berufung eines weiteren Vorstandsmitgliedes

Die Silicon Sensor International AG, Berlin, stärkt die oberste
Führungsebene. Neben dem langjährigen Vorstandsvorsitzenden Dr. Hans-Georg
Giering hat der Aufsichtsrat in seiner heutigen Sitzung Herrn Dr. Ingo
Stein mit Wirkung zum 1. Oktober 2009 für fünf Jahre zum Finanzvorstand
berufen.

Herr Dr. Stein (46) war seit 2001 ununterbrochen als Finanzvorstand bei
börsennotierten Gesellschaften tätig und verfügt über ausgezeichnete
Kontakte zur nationalen und internationalen Finanzwelt.

Herr Dr. Giering wird im Vorstand unter anderem die Ressorts
Unternehmensstrategie und Konzernentwicklung, Sales und Marketing sowie
Produktentwicklung verantworten.

Strengthening of Top management level - Assignment of further Board member

The Silicon Sensor International AG, Berlin, strengthens their top
management level. Beside Dr. Hans-Georg Giering, chairman of the Board for
many years, the supervisory board today assigned Dr. Ingo Stein as CFO for
five years effective from October 1, 2009.

Without interruption, Dr. Stein (46) has been in a CFO position for listed
companies since 2001 and has excellent contacts into both the national and
international finance community.

Within the board, Dr. Giering will among others account for business
strategy, group development, sales and marketing as well as for product
development.

Ernst Hofmann, chairman of the supervisory board: 'We are glad that we have
won Dr. Stein as an designated expert in finance for Silicon Sensor
International AG and consider the decision to assign him as CFO as a clear
strengthening of the company in an actual difficult market environment.'
