On 08 December 2009, Credit Agricole Asset Management informed us as
follows:

On 10 November 2009, the voting interest held by Credit Agricole Asset
Management, Paris, France, in GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, Bochum,
Germany, exceeded the threshold of 3 %. On that date, Credit Agricole Asset
Management held 3.05 % (5,608,826 voting rights) of the voting rights in
GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft.

The voting rights are attributed to Credit Agricole Asset Mangement
pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent 1 no. 6 WpHG.
