BlackRock Jersey International Holdings LP, St. Helier, Jersey, BlackRock
International Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, BlackRock Advisors Holdings,
Inc., New York, USA, BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., New York, USA,
BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., New York, USA and BlackRock, Inc., New York, USA
have notified us on December 07, 2009 pursuant to § 21 para 1 and § 24 WpHG
as follows:

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock Jersey International Holdings L.P. in BASF SE exceeded the
   threshold of 3 % and amounts to 3,12 % (28,700,855 voting shares) on that
   day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Jersey International
Holdings L.P. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with
sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock International Holdings, Inc. in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of
   3 % and amounts to 3,12 % (28,700,855 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock International
Holdings, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with
sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc. in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3 %
   and amounts to 3,14 % (28,803,845 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Advisors Holdings,
Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2
WpHG.

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. in BASF SE exceeded the thresholds of
   3 % and 5 % and amounts to 5,26 % (48,300,029 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Financial
Management, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with
sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc. in BASF SE exceeded the thresholds of 3 % and 5 %
   and amounts to 5,26 % (48,300,029 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rigths are attributable to BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc.
pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On December 01, 2009 the percentage holding of the voting rights of
   BlackRock, Inc. in BASF SE exceeded the thresholds of 3 % and 5 % and
   amounts to 5,40 % (49,585,025 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock, Inc. pursuant to §
22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.
