Management) informed us as follows:

On 11 January 2010, the voting interest held by AMUNDI, Paris, France, in
GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, Bochum, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 5
%. On that date, AMUNDI held 5.11 % (9,390,712
voting rights) of the voting rights in GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft.

AMUNDI directly held 1.39 % of the voting rights (2,549,192 voting rights)
and 3.72 % of the voting rights (6,841,520 voting rights) were attributed
to AMUNDI pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent 1 no. 6 WpHG.
