PSI subsidiary inControl Tech awarded communication project for Malaysian
Railways

Berlin, Kuala Lumpur - PSI subsidiary inControl Tech has been awarded the
contract to supply the communication package on a turnkey basis for works
related to the Double-Track Railway Project between Seremban and Gemas.
This project is part of a major initiative by the Malaysian government to
upgrade the railway infrastructure in order to offer a safe, more reliable
and efficient mode of transportation.

inControl Tech was selected through a vigorous tendering process by the
Indian Railway Construction Company (IRCON), who is the main contractor for
the approximately 100 km of double-track railway involving civil, track
laying and the building of six new passenger train stations. The project is
to be implemented in two phases over a period of 20 months. The scope of
supply for the project covers subsystems such as digital transmission
systems, PABX, signal post telephones, real-time passenger information,
public address, CCTV surveillance and station SCADA.

inControl Tech will supply a digitally advanced and integrated solution for
all of the above-mentioned subsystems, which will be operated and
controlled using the PSItraffic software suite in the centralised train
control (CTC) system. This contract will mark the major entry of the PSI
Group into the railways market in Asia.

PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions, on the basis of its own
software products, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas,
oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive,
mechanical and plant engineering, mining, logistics) and infrastructure
management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in
1969 and employs 1,400 persons in the group. www.psi.de
