Hamburg, 06.05.2010. The construction works of the solar power plant
Sonnefeld near Coburg/Germany have begun: The COLEXON Energy AG, a leading
project developer and operator of high-yield solar power plants, will
realize a rooftop solar power plant with a total capacity of 2.5 MWp. As
the owner of the rooftop, the SILAG Handel AG ties this project in its
integrated strategic approach.

On the SILAG roof area, sized approx. 80,000 sqm, the COLEXON engineers
will install 33.000 thin film modules from market leader First Solar. A
mounting system developed by COLEXON will be used as the substructure. It
optimally suits the roof conditions and requires only low load reserves.
After commissioning, in mid 2010, the power output of the Sonnefeld plant
is expected to amount to approx. 2.45 million kWh per year. That
corresponds to annual CO2 savings of approx. 2,000 tons compared to a coal
fired power plant.

Good prospects
Thorsten Preugschas, CEO of COLEXON, sees this project as another proof of
the successful positioning of COLEXON. The realization of this rooftop
solar power plant underlines the company's know-how in an efficient use of
roof areas or minimizing of load reserves. Preugschas says: 'When the
announced changes in feed-in tariffs will come into effect, large roof
areas like those in Sonnefeld will become more interesting for German
investors.' This project proves once again COLEXON's operative focus on
roof areas in Germany. Only few companies combine as much expertise in this
field as the Hamburg company.
