E.ON AG: Adjusted EBIT 20% increase on prior-year figure, pro forma outlook
for 2010 unchanged
The Düsseldorf-based energy company E.ON increased its adjusted EBIT by 20%
to about EUR 3.7 billion in the first quarter of 2010 (prior year: EUR 3.1
billion). This increase in earnings is mainly due to success in the retail
business and improved results at E.ON Energy Trading. Furthermore, the
first prior-year quarter was affected by the financial and economic crisis.
For 2010 as a whole, an increase in the adjusted EBIT of between 0 and 3%
and an adjusted net income for the Group at the prior-year level are
expected as before.
Details of the results for the first quarter of 2010 will be published by
E.ON on May 11, 2010. The results will be first examined by the audit and
risk committee of the Supervisory Board.
