Dortmund, August 10, 2010: ELMOS Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG) achieved
strong growth in the 1st half-year 2010 in sales and earnings. The positive
trend of the previous quarters has continued.

Sales gained 87.8% on the 1st half-year 2009 and came to 89.8 million Euro.
Due to increased utilization of production capacity, earnings are up
significantly as well. The gross profit climbed to 38.2 million Euro in the
first half-year 2010 (HY1 2009: 7.5 million Euro). The EBIT rose to 8.2
million Euro (HY1 2009: -18.8 million Euro), and the group's net income
amounted to 5.3 million Euro (HY1 2009: net loss of -13.7 million Euro) or
0.27 Euro per share (HY1 2009: loss of -0.70 Euro per share). The free cash
flow came to 7.0 million Euro (HY1 2009: -4.5 million Euro), the adjusted
free cash flow (cash flow from operating activities less capital
expenditures for fixed assets) reached 10.0 million Euro (HY1 2009: -5.2
million Euro).

Quarterly comparison with the prior-year period and the preceding quarter
also shows a strong sales growth and increased earnings. Sales of 46.4
million Euro in the second quarter of 2010 gained 84.1% on the prior-year
period of comparison (Q2 2009: 25.2 million Euro) and 7.1% on the previous
quarter (Q1 2010: 43.4 million Euro). Unlike the prior-year quarter, gains
were recorded for both EBIT and net income in the quarter under review. The
EBIT came to 4.7 million Euro or 10.2% of sales, the net income was 2.6
million Euro or 5.7% of sales.

For the full year 2010, ELMOS now expects an increase in sales of more than
40% and therefore raises the forecast. A high single-digit percentage is
targeted for the EBIT margin. The adjusted free cash flow for the current
fiscal year will be clearly positive.
