Notification pursuant to Article 26, Section 1 of the German Securities
Trading Act (WpHG)

Gerling Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, Cologne,
Germany, notified us in accordance with Article 21, Section 1 of the German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that on October 22, 2010 its holding of
voting rights in MLP AG, Wiesloch, Germany increased above the thresholds
of 3% and 5% and now totals 9.89% (corresponding to 10,671,969 voting
rights).

Of these voting rights 2.45% (corresponding to 2,642,500 voting rights) are
attributable to Gerling Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung
through Talanx Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG in accordance with Article 22,
Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 WpHG and 7.44% (corresponding to 8,029,469
voting rights) in conjunction with Article 22, Section 2 WpHG.
