notice pursuant to sec. 21 para 1 WpHG that on February 21, 2011 the voting
rights in MTU Aero Engines Holding AG exceeded the threshold of 3% and
amount to 3,0001% (1,560,070 voting rights) as per this date.

3,0001% (1,560,070 voting rights) are attributable to Threadneedle Asset
Management Holding SARL pursuant to sec. 22 para 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in
connection with sent. 2 WpHG. 0,12% (63,019 voting rights) of these voting
rights are also attributable according sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG.
