In accordance with Article 21, Section 1 WpHG, VARIS Vermögensverwaltungs
GmbH, Munich, Germany, has informed us on March 2, 2011 that it has fallen
below the threshold of 5% of voting rights in JENOPTIK AG on April 23,
2010. On April 23, 2010 VARIS Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH held 4.96 % of the
voting rights (2,843,066 voting rights).
