On May 19, 2011, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, Edinburgh, United
Kingdom informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that on
May 13, 2011 its voting rights in Deutsche Boerse AG, Frankfurt am Main,
Deutschland, exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in Deutsche
Boerse AG and on that day amounted to 4.17321% (this corresponds to 8137776
voting rights).

0.00006% of these voting rights (this corresponds to 130 voting rights)
were attributed to The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, Edinburgh, United
Kingdom pursuant to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection
with sentence 2 of the WpHG. 4.17315% of the voting rights (this
corresponds to 8137646 voting rights) were attributed to the company from
RFS Holdings B.V., RBS Holdings N.V. and The Royal Bank of Scotland N.V.
pursuant to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG.
