HCI Capital AG successfully carries out capital increase

Hamburg, 3 June 2011 - HCI Capital AG has completed its capital increase.
All of the new shares were subscribed by HCI shareholders within the
subscription period of 16 May 2011 to 30 May 2011. This generated cash
inflow of around EUR 11 million for the Company, thus increasing the HCI
Group's equity ratio in the consolidated balance sheet to approximately
54%. This also marked the conclusion of HCI Capital AG's financial
restructuring of the Group. The HCI Group had already released itself from
all substantial contingent liabilities and converted bank debts into equity
back in August 2010.

HCI Capital AG has increased its subscribed capital through cash
contributions by issuing 7,338,529 new shares, thereby increasing its
subscribed capital from EUR 29,354,116 to EUR 36,692,645. With a
subscription price of EUR 1.50 for the new shares, HCI Capital AG generated
gross proceeds of around EUR 11 million. Based on the figures as of 31
March 2011, the HCI Group's balance sheet equity has therefore increased
from EUR 44.4 million to approximately EUR 55.4 million, while the equity
ratio is now at around 54%, up from 43.3%.

'The completion of the HCI Group's financial restructuring is a milestone
for the Company,' said Dr. Ralf Friedrichs, Chairman of the Management
Board of HCI Capital AG. 'We have brought our liabilities down to an
acceptable level and substantially improved our equity base, thus creating
the right conditions for a range of attractive new funds. We would like to
thank our shareholders for the confidence they have shown in HCI's
potential.'

In addition to the major shareholders MPC Capital AG and the Döhle Group,
who guaranteed the total volume of the capital increase, a large proportion
of the free float shareholders likewise participated in the capital
increase: approximately 40% of them acquired new shares by means of
subscription rights and supplemental subscription rights. Taking the
planned redistribution of shares among the major shareholders into account,
MPC Capital AG and the Döhle Group will respectively hold 25.58% of the
shares in HCI Capital AG, and jointly hold a 51.16% interest on the basis
of a pooling agreement. HSH Nordbank AG's interest in the Company then will
amounts to 19.90%, while free float shareholders account for 28.94%.
