Second significant contract extension with a major customer
Sales of up to 22 million euros

Berlin, July 21, 2011

Silicon Micro Sensors GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Sensor AG
(formally Silicon Sensor), today accepted a nomination for delivery of
sensor based high-end camera systems to a well-known German
automobile manufacturer. With the acception of the nomination the supply
contract of August 2010 will significantly be extended.

The camera system which initially was integrated only into two spezific
models is now part of all model ranges of the automobile manufacturer's
advanced driver assistance system. Over the coming years, the annual number
of units to be delivered is to be more than trippled and, at the same time,
the contract term extended ahead of time until 2018.

At the present time, the Board of Directors expects that the contract for
the term until 2018 will comprise a sales volume of up to 22 million euros.

This is already the second significant extension of contract the First
Sensor Group has received within a short period of time. On June 29th the
corporation announced an appropriate increase in order volume of the
production of a sensor module for steering angle detection for a major
European automobile supplier.
