Release according to section 26, para. 1 of the WpHG [the German Securities
Trading Act]

With letter dated July 4, 2012, Sterling Strategic Value Ltd., Tortola,
British Virgin Islands has notified us in the name and on behalf of the
following companies and persons pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG about
the following notifications regarding the holding of voting rights held in
KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, Cologne, Germany (the 'Company'):

1. On July 3, 2012 the voting rights of Mr. Tito Tettamanti, Castagnola,
   Switzerland in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10% pursuant to
   Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting rights
   (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights, a total
   of 7.58% (3,770,043 voting rights) are to be attributed to him pursuant
   to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 1 and 11.98% (5,956,951 voting rights)
   are to be attributed to him pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG. Attributed
   voting rights are held via the following companies that are controlled
   by Tito Tettamanti and whose holdings of voting rights amount to 3%
   each or more in KHD:

No financial instruments have been exercised in this transaction.

1. On July 3, 2012 the voting rights of GRITLOT LIMITED, Douglas, Isle of
   Man in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10% pursuant to Sec. 21
   para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting rights (5,956,951
   voting rights) at this day. Of these voting rights, a total of 7.58%
   (3,770,043 voting rights) are to be attributed to GRITLOT LIMITED
   pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 1 and 11.98% (5,956,951 voting
   rights) are to be attributed to GRITLOT LIMITED pursuant to section 22
   (2) WpHG. Attributed voting rights are held via the following companies
   that are controlled by GRITLOT LIMITED and whose holdings of voting
   rights amount to 3% each or more in KHD:

1. On July 3, 2012 the voting rights of Mr. Massimo Pedrazzini, Massagno,
   Switzerland in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10% pursuant to
   Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting rights
   (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights, a total
   of 11.96% (5,945,086 voting rights) are to be attributed to him
   pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of the following
   shareholders, whose holdings of voting rights amount to 3% each or
   more, are attributed to Mr. Pedrazzini:

   Switzerland in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10% pursuant to
   Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting rights
   (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights, a total
   of 11.96% (5,945,086 voting rights) are to be attributed to it pursuant
   to section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of the following shareholders,
   whose holdings of voting rights amount to 3% each or more, are
   attributed to MP ADVISORS SA:

   Berkhemer, The Hague, The Netherlands in the Company exceeded the

   11.98% of the voting rights (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of
   these voting rights, a total of 11.98% (5,956,526 voting rights) are to
   be attributed to him pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of
   the following shareholders, whose voting interest in the Company
   amounts to 3 % each or more, are attributed to Mr. Berkhemer:

   Principality of Monaco in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10%
   pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting
   rights (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights,
   a total of 11.87% (5,900,951 voting rights) are to be attributed to her
   pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of the following
   shareholders, whose voting interest in the Company amounts to 3 % each
   or more, are attributed to Mrs. Nobili:

Killarney, Ireland in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10%
pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting
rights (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights,
a total of 11.98% (5,954,701 voting rights) are to be attributed to him
pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of the following
shareholders, whose voting interest in the Company amounts to 3 % each
or more, are attributed to Mr. Greene:

   Germany in the Company exceeded the threshold of 10% pursuant to Sec.
   21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the voting rights (5,956,951
   voting rights), at this day. Of these voting rights, a total of 11.97%
   (5,952,331 voting rights) are to be attributed to him pursuant to
   section 22 (2) WpHG. Voting rights of the following shareholders, whose
   voting interest in the Company amounts to 3 % each or more, are
   attributed to Mr. Bunker:

   Tortola, British Virgin Islands in the Company exceeded the threshold
   of 10% pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 11.98% of the
   voting rights (5,956,951 voting rights), at this day. Of these voting
   rights, a total of 4.40% (2,186,908 voting rights) are to be attributed
   to it pursuant to section 22 (2) WpHG.
