On October 16, 2012, BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, DE, USA,
informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG, that on April
14, 2011 its voting rights in Deutsche Börse AG, Frankfurt/Main, Germany,
exceeded the 5% threshold of the voting rights in Deutsche Börse AG and on
that day amounted to 5.04% (this corresponds to 9,821,174 voting rights).

All of these voting rights were to be attributed to BlackRock Holdco 2,
Inc. pursuant to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with
Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 2 of the WpHG.
