Buttenwiesen-Pfaffenhofen, 9 November 2012 - SURTECO SE generated sales of
EUR 313.0 million in the first three quarters of 2012. The leading
manufacturer of surface technologies based on plastics and technical papers
for the international construction and furnishing industry thereby
maintained the sales volume at the level of the equivalent year-earlier
period (EUR 312.9 million). A decrease of 3 % was posted on the German
market while foreign sales rose by 2 %.

The strategic Business Unit Plastics closed the first nine months of the
reporting year with sales of EUR 182.5 million (+1 %). The paper segment
generated EUR 130.5 million (-2 %). Both Strategic Business Units succeeded
in generating growth of 2 % in foreign markets. Growth for the Strategic
Business Unit Paper in the domestic market fell by 9 %. The plastics
segment achieved growth of 1 % in Germany.

During the first three quarters of 2012, the operating result (EBITDA) of
the SURTECO Group amounted to EUR 41.0 million (-9 %). Earnings before tax
(EBT) came down from EUR 18.6 to EUR 18.1 million. The increased cost of
materials and personnel expenses was countered by an improved financial
result.

Consolidated net profit amounted to EUR 13.1 million (2011: EUR 12.1
million) after the first nine months of the reporting year. 11,075,522
no-par-value shares yield earnings per share of EUR 1.19 (2011: EUR 1.09).
