Frankfurt/Main, March 5, 2013 - Effective immediately, Hon.-Prof. Andreas
Steyer (47) has been appointed as a further member of the Management Board
of MAGNAT Real Estate AG ('MAGNAT', ISIN DE000A0XFSF0).

Mr. Andreas Steyer, MRICS, has a degree in business administration, is a
real estate economist, and has longstanding experience in the real estate
industry. Following positions at the audit and tax consulting firm KMPG and
as a partner at Arthur Andersen Real Estate GmbH and at Ernst & Young Real
Estate GmbH. He was also the Managing Director of Deka Immobilien
Investment GmbH where he was responsible for the restructuring of the
company. In recent years, Mr. Steyer has been the Head of Real Estate and
spokesman for the management of VB Real Estate Services for the
Österreichische Volksbank AG (ÖVAG). In addition, Mr. Steyer has held an
honorary professorship for real estate economics at the Jade University of
Oldenburg.
