On March 28, 2013, UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting Rights on
AIXTRON SE, Herzogenrath, Germany, have exceeded the 3% threshold of the
Voting Rights on March 25, 2013 and on that day amounted to 3.18% (this
corresponds to 3239367 Voting Rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG, 0.28% of
the Voting Rights (this corresponds to 280903 Voting Rights) is to be
attributed to the company.

Furthermore, on March 28, 2013, UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland has informed us
according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting
Rights on AIXTRON SE, Herzogenrath, Germany has fallen below the 3%
threshold of the Voting Rights on March 26, 2013 and on that day amounted
to 2.22% (this corresponds to 2266822 Voting Rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG, 0.28% of
the Voting Rights (this corresponds to 284563) Voting Rights is to be
attributed to the company.
