Bilfinger initiates sale of its concessions business

Due to the declining strategic role of the Concessions business segment,
Bilfinger intends to divest these activities. Business opportunities with
other units of the company, construction areas in particular, have
decreased significantly. Bilfinger will now begin concrete discussions with
potential buyers.

In its Concessions business segment, Bilfinger implements transport and
social infrastructure projects on the basis of long-term concession
contracts as a private partner to the public sector. Important markets
include Australia, North America and Europe. The project portfolio
currently comprises 16 projects to which equity of EUR254 million has been
committed.
