O 2 LTE 4G all over Germany: Starting July 2, all high speed areas are on air

– On July 2 Hamburg, Duisburg, and Essen go live as well

– Special launch offer: 12 months LTE with O 2 Blue M All-in free trial

MUNICH. In course of the opening of the O 2 Live Concept Store in Berlin, Telefónica in Deutschland today announces the near achievement of an important milestone in the LTE expansion. Starting July 2, all German high speed areas will be connected to the LTE network. Thus, the extremely fast mobile internet will be available in Hamburg, Duisburg, and Essen in addition to the already extended LTE-locations Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Nuremberg, Leipzig, and Düsseldorf.

‘Starting July 2, Telefónica will have turned all German cities across the metropolitan areas into high speed areas’, says Michiel van Eldik, Chief Marketing Officer at Telefónica in Germany. ‘With the expansion of our LTE-network we haven’t reached the end yet. We keep on working hard to offer a comprehensive LTE supply and with our wide range of LTE smartphone devices, market leading O 2 Blue All-in tariffs and now with LTE speed on top we offer the most attractive speed bundle available in the market.’

With the smartphone tariffs O 2 Blue All-In L and XL with 2 GB or 5 GB data volume O 2 customers surf with up to 50 Mbit/s in the high speed areas, for mobile high speed internet on tablet or notebook Telefónica offers the O 2 Go tariffs.

In course of the launch, O 2 customers can noncommittally test LTE together with the O 2 Blue All-In M tariff for twelve months including 500 MB data volume. This attractive offer is also valid for the O 2 Blue All-In M Professional tariff for self-employed, free lancers, and entrepreneurs.
