**First Sensor AG: Vorläufige Zahlen zum ersten Halbjahr 2013**

Berlin, 12. August 2013 – Die First Sensor AG, ein im Prime Standard notierter führender Anbieter von hochqualitativen kundenspezifischen Sensorlösungen, legt heute die vorläufigen Zahlen für das erste Halbjahr des Geschäftsjahres 2013 vor.

Der Konzern-Umsatz ging im ersten Halbjahr 2013 gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum um 5 % auf 53,4 Mio. Euro zurück (H1 2012: 56,2 Mio. Euro). Allerdings stieg der Umsatz erfreulicherweise in Q2 2013 um 5 % gegenüber Q1 2013.  

Das in den ersten sechs Monaten erwirtschaftete Konzern-Ergebnis vor Steuern, Zinsen und Abschreibungen (EBITDA) betrug 6,2 Mio. Euro (H1 2012: 6,9 Mio. Euro). Bereinigt um die Sondereffekte Integrationskosten in beiden Jahren sowie einen positiven Einmaleffekt aus dem Verkauf der Heimann Sensor GmbH in 2012 betrug das EBITDA 6,7 Mio. Euro (H1 2012: 6,8 Mio. Euro).

Die First Sensor-Aktie verzeichnete im ersten Halbjahr 2013 einen Gewinn je Aktie von 0,05 Euro (H1 2012: 0,08 Euro). Bereinigt um Integrationskosten und PPA-Abschreibungen in beiden Jahren sowie dem Verkauf der Heimann Sensor GmbH in 2012 lag der Gewinn je Aktie wie im Vorjahreszeitraum bei 0,24 Euro.

In diesen vorläufigen Zahlen des ersten Halbjahres 2013 spiegeln sich die aus einer festzustellenden gesamtwirtschaftlichen Eintrübung resultierenden Abrufverlagerungen von Kunden in Folgequartale sowie eine verzögerte Substitution von niedrigmargigem Distributionsgeschäft durch eigene Produkte in einem Teilbereich wider.

**First Sensor AG: Provisional figures for the first half of 2013**

Berlin, 08/12/2013 – First Sensor AG, a leading provider of high-quality, customer-specific sensor solutions that is listed in the Prime Standard, is presenting its provisional figures for the first half of financial year 2013 today.

Consolidated sales were down 5% year-on-year at EUR53.4 million in the first half of 2013 (H1 2012: EUR56.2 million). However, sales in Q2 2013 posted an encouraging increase of 5% as against Q1 2013.  

Consolidated EBITDA generated in the first six months amounted to EUR6.2 million (H1 2012: EUR6.9 million). Adjusted for extraordinary effects in relation to integration costs in both years and a positive non-recurring effect from the sales of Heimann Sensor GmbH in 2012, EBITDA totaled EUR6.7 million (H1 2012: EUR6.8 million).

The First Sensor share posted earnings per share of EUR0.05 in the first half of 2013 (H1 2012: EUR0.08). Adjusted for integration costs and PPA amortization in both years and the sale of Heimann Sensor GmbH in 2012, earnings per share amounted to EUR0.24, as in the same period of the previous year.

These provisional figures for the first half of 2013 reflect the fact that customers have postponed calls-up to subsequent quarters as a result of the observable general economic deterioration, as well as reflecting the delayed substitution of low-margin distribution with the company’s own products in a sub-area.

The final figures and further information on the business performance in the first half of financial year 2013 will be published in the consolidated half-year financial report on August 29, 2013.
