in accordance with sec. 21 para 1 WpHG:

Schroders PLC, London, UK, gives notice pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG
of the following:

On August 07, 2013 Schroders PLC exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights in MTU Aero Engines AG, Dachauer Strasse 665, 80995 Munich, Germany.
On that date, Schroders PLC held 3.01% of the voting rights in MTU Aero
Engines AG, arising from 1,566,796 voting rights.

3.01% (1,566,796 voting rights) are attributable to Schroders PLC pursuant
to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 No. 6 in connection with sent. 2.
