Linde Material Handling changes Management Board (news with additional features)

Wiesbaden/Aschaffenburg, 17 October 2013 – The Supervisory Board of Linde Material Handling GmbH has appointed Harald Will (52) to the Management Board of Linde Material Handling for a period of four years with effect from 1 January 2014. As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he will be in charge of the newly created Research and Development department. Also with effect from 1 January 2014, the Supervisory Board has appointed Andreas Krinninger (46) to the Management Board. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) he will be responsible for the Finance and Accounting department. Andreas Krinninger succeeds Dr. Matthias Schmitz (50), who is stepping down from the Management Board of Linde Material Handling GmbH with effect from 31 December 2013 at his own request, after more than six highly successful years, in order to pursue new challenges elsewhere.

A qualified mechanical engineer, Harald Will is currently Head of Product Development of KION Group and of Linde Material Handling. He has been working in development at Linde Material Handling since 1987. In 1992 he took over a design department, in 1999 he became Main Department Head of Design and since 2005 he has been in overall charge of industrial truck development for Linde Material Handling. Harald Will studied mechanical engineering at Darmstadt Technical University.

Andreas Krinninger, another qualified mechanical engineer, is currently Chief Restructuring Officer of KION Group. In this position he has been responsible for group-wide projects promoting revenue growth as well as product and efficiency improvements. From 2007 to 2011 he was a director at KKR Capstone. Before that he held senior management positions with Grohe, the sanitary fittings manufacturer, and with airline caterers LSG Sky Chefs. From 1995 to 2001 he worked for the management consultants McKinsey. Andreas Krinninger studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge (Mass.)/USA. After working for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, he gained a MSc in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Theodor Maurer, Chief Executive Officer of Linde Material Handling and member of the Executive Board of KION GROUP AG, states: ‘I am pleased that in Harald Will and Andreas Krinninger we will have two experienced executives from within the Group with many years of wide-ranging technical experience reinforcing the Management Board of Linde Material Handling.
