Allianz SE, Munich, Germany, has notified us pursuant to section 21 (1)
sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) on October 17, 2013
as follows:

'We hereby give notice pursuant to section 21 (1) in conjunction with § 24
of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that the share of voting rights
held by Allianz Global Investors France S.A., Paris, France, in STRATEC
Biomedical AG, Gewerbestr. 37, 75217 Birkenfeld, Germany, went above the
threshold of 3% on October 15, 2013 and amounted to 3.01% of all voting
rights of the company (this reflects 353,694 of all 11,747,745 voting
rights). These voting rights are attributable pursuant to section 22 (1)
sentence 1 number 6 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG).'
