Release of an announcement of voting rights notifications according to
Article 21 Section 1 WpHG (German Securities Trading Act)

1. Adolf Ahlers Familienstiftung, Speicher/Appenzell Ausserrhoden,
   Switzerland, informed us pursuant to Article 21 Section 1 WpHG that on
   December 31, 2013 its voting rights in Ahlers AG, Herford, have
   exceeded the thresholds of 3 %, 5 %, 10 %, 15 %, 20 %, 25 %, 30 %, 50 %
   and 75 % and on that day amounted to 76.63 % (equivalent 5,824,194
   voting rights). Of these voting rights, 76.63 % (equivalent 5,824,194
   voting rights) are to be attributed to Adolf Ahlers Familienstiftung,
   Switzerland, pursuant to Article 22 Section 1 Sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG.

   Attributed voting rights are held by the following companies
   controlled by Adolf Ahlers Familienstiftung, Switzerland, and whose
   voting rights in Ahlers AG amount to 3 % or more:

   • Westfälisches Textilwerk Adolf Ahlers KG

   • WTW-Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH

2. Mrs. Dr. Stella A. Ahlers, Germany, informed us pursuant to Article 21
   Section 1 WpHG that on December 31, 2013 her voting rights in Ahlers
   AG, Herford, have exceeded the thresholds of 3 %, 5 %, 10 %, 15 %, 20
   %, 25 %, 30 %, 50 % and 75 % and on that day amounted to 76.63 %
   (equivalent 5,824,194 voting rights). Of these voting rights, 76.63 %
   (equivalent 5,824,194 voting rights) are to be attributed to Mrs. Dr.
   Stella A. Ahlers pursuant to Article 22 Section 1 Sentence 1 No. 1
   WpHG.

   Attributed voting rights are held by the following companies
