Spire Healthcare Group plc announces the passing of Martin Angle, Deputy Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director

It is with great sorrow that Spire Healthcare announces that Martin Angle, Deputy Chairman and independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, passed away on Monday, 2 September 2024. Mr Angle served as a member of the Board from March 2019 and was Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Clinical Governance and Safety Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.

Sir Ian Cheshire, Non-Executive Chairman, and Justin Ash, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Martin Angle, earlier this week. Martin was a highly respected, valued and trusted member of our Board and a personal friend to us both and many others at Spire Healthcare. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our deepest sympathies and condolences are with Martin's family at this difficult time."
