in-house FirstSpirit product / Success in the USA thanks to a major
licensing and maintenance contract

The adesso subsidiary e-Spirit has announced a major success in the process
of expanding the company's international product sales in the USA. In the
future the high-end content management system FirstSpirit will be
implemented by a leading American educational institution that specialises
in web-based learning for exam preparation. A contract for FirstSpirit
licenses and two years of maintenance with a total value of USD 0.4 million
has been concluded with the client.

adesso is expecting further successes from its American sales pipeline in
the current financial year. Since it entered the North American market,
adesso has systemically pursued relationships with implementation partners.
The company's internal sales activities in the American market were
intensified in early 2013, and since then the company has established its
own local implementation team. It first major success in the USA was
achieved in 2012 when the company acquired a major specialist retailer with
more than 1,300 retail locations in the country as a customer.

According to the independent analyst firm Gartner, e-Spirit is one of just
19 providers in the global 'magic quadrant' of web content management,
which receives particular attention in the USA.
