On May 12, 2014, UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting Rights on
AIXTRON SE, Herzogenrath, Germany, have exceeded the 3% threshold of the
Voting Rights on May 07, 2014 and on that day amounted to 3.04% (this
corresponds to 3424653 Voting Rights).
1.66% of Voting Rights (this corresponds to 1871911 Voting Rights) are
attributed to the company in accordance with Article 22, Section 1,
Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG (German Securities Trading Act).

Furthermore, on May 12, 2014, UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland has informed us
according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting
Rights on AIXTRON SE, Herzogenrath, Germany, have fallen below the 3%
threshold of the Voting Rights on May 08, 2014 and on that day amounted to
2.97% (this corresponds to 3338778 Voting Rights).
