On October 17, 2014, Ms Birgit Lübbe, Germany has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares her Voting Rights on
Bastei Lübbe AG, Köln, Germany, have fallen below the 50% threshold of the
Voting Rights on October 13, 2014 and on that day amounted to 48.87% (this
corresponds to 6,500,000 Voting Rights).
12.78% of Voting Rights (this corresponds to 1,700,000 Voting Rights) are
attributed to Ms Lübbe in accordance with Article 22, Section 1, Sentence
1, No. 1 of the WpHG (German Securities Trading Act). Attributed Voting
Rights are held by the following shareholders, whose share of the Voting
Rights in Bastei Lübbe AG amounts to 3 percent or more: Lübbe
Beteiligungs-GmbH.
