On January 27, 2015, Palatin Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, Essen, Germany,
informed us according to sec. 21 of the WpHG that its share of voting
rights in METRO AG, Dusseldorf, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 15% on
January 23, 2015, and on that day amounts to 15.77% of the voting rights
(51,117,363 voting rights).
