MPC Capital Launches STAYTOO Project in Bonn

– MPC Capital acquires second property for student apartments platform

– Office building is being converted into micro apartments

– Completion by the 2016/17 winter semester

Hamburg, 31 March 2015 – MPC Capital AG has acquired the second property for the STAYTOO student apartments platform ( www.staytoo.de ). The Hamburg asset and investment manager has bought an office building on a property of 2,896 m² in the Bonn district of Duisdorf. Conversion will begin this summer and the apartments are to be ready for the first students to move into in time for the 2016/17 winter semester.

“Bonn is an important location for us. It has four universities and colleges with over 33,000 students. STAYTOO is intended to offer students, young professionals and commuters an alternative to conventional student halls of residence and rented apartments,” explains Rainer Nonnengässer, the head of the Micro Living section at MPC Capital. “In Bonn-Duisdorf we are developing and realising high quality, modern and above all, affordable apartments that accommodate all necessary living areas on comparatively little space by intelligent planning.”

Around 160 apartments with total living space of c. 4,530 m² on 4.5 floors are to be created in the building. Apart from this, communal areas provide the opportunity for communicative exchange between residents. A reception area, a washing lounge, 56 parking bays in the underground garage as well as a fitness area to round the facility off. Central Bonn as well as the Endenich Campus are easily reached by public transport. There are plenty of restaurants and food stores in the vicinity. MPC Capital had already acquired a lot in Nuremburg, which will also be developed starting in the summer.
