Notifications of voting rights pursuant to section 21 para 1 WpHG

We received the following notifications of voting rights pursuant to
section 21 para. 1 WpHG on May 8, 2015:

I. Notification of voting rights pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG from
BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc.:

Issuer: BASF SE, Carl-Bosch-Straße 38, 67056 Ludwigshafen, Germany

On May 6, 2015, the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock
Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A., of BASF SE (ISIN DE000BASF111)
exceeded the threshold of 5 % through acquisition and amounts indirectly to
5.52 % on that day (this corresponds to 50,698,942 voting rights out of a
total of 918,478,694 voting rights). 2.57 % out of the voting rights (this
corresponds to 23,565,448 voting rights) are to be attributed to BlackRock
Holdco 2, Inc. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG. 3.33 %
out of the voting rights (this corresponds to 30,593,518 voting rights) are
to be attributed to BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1
sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

Please note that the total amount stated above does not necessarily equal
the sum of the detailed attributed holdings. This results from voting
rights having multiple attributions within the BlackRock group structure.

II. Notification of voting rights pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG from
BlackRock Financial Management, Inc.:

Issuer: BASF SE, Carl-Bosch-Straße 38, 67056 Ludwigshafen, Germany

On May 6, 2015, the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock
Financial Management, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A., of BASF SE (ISIN
DE000BASF111) exceeded the threshold of 5 % through acquisition and amounts
indirectly to 5.52 % on that day (this corresponds to 50,698,942 voting
rights out of a total of 918,478,694 voting rights). 2.57 % out of the
voting rights (this corresponds to 23,565,448 voting rights) are to be
attributed to BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. pursuant to sec. 22
para. 1 sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG. 0.02 % out of the voting rights (this
corresponds to 149,595 voting rights) are to be attributed to BlackRock
Financial Management, Inc. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 No. 6
WpHG. 3.31 % out of the voting rights (this corresponds to 30,445,138
voting rights) are to be attributed to BlackRock Financial Management, Inc.
pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with sentence 2
WpHG.
