HMS Bergbau AG: South African HMS Bergbau Africa (Pty) Ltd acquires 25,1% of Zamfin Capital
Berlin, 4 July 2016: HMS Bergbau AG announces the acquisition of 25.1% shareholding in South African Zamfin Capital (Pty) Ltd through its 100% subsidiary HMS Bergbau Africa (Pty) Ltd. With the acquisition HMS Bergbau Africa will have access to coal beneficiation capacity in the Delmas area and with a capacity of 350,000 mts per month, expected to become operational in November 2016. The plant will be located in close proximity to Africa’s largest power station. As part of the transaction HMS Bergbau Africa (Pty) Ltd concluded an exclusive marketing agreement with Zamfin Capital and it’s parent Zamfin Group.
With this acquisition, HMS Bergbau AG strengthens its position in the strategically important Mpumalanga region of South Africa and can extendly supply domestic as well as export markets with the required coal qualities.
Both parties have agreed to keep further details on the acquisition confidential.
