Jena, Germany 20 July 2016
Carl Zeiss Meditec AG has announced that Thomas Simmerer, member of the Management Board, has asked the supervisory board to be released from his duties prior to the end of his contract. The supervisory board has agreed to the request and Mr. Simmerer will leave the Management Board effective September 30, 2016.
The Management Board of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG will comprise Dr. Ludwin Monz, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Christian Müller, Chief Financial Officer. The company is planning a change in its organizational structure in order to better serve the relevant Microsurgery and Ophthalmology markets.
